Anna Zeltzer

Australian percussionist Anna Zeltzer has been living in Germany since 2011. Her studies and performance projects have taken her all over the country and beyond, including Russia, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia and Israel.

Anna is committed to bringing Australian music to European audiences. She has premiered numerous Australian works in her solo and chamber music concerts.

As an orchestral percussionist, Anna is in demand across Germany. She appears regularly with the Philharmonic Orchestra of the City of Ulm and the New Philharmonic Frankfurt. She has also performed with the theatre and symphony orchestras of Berlin, Mannheim, Würzburg, Gießen and Gotha, and held a one-year contract with the Hof Symphony Orchestra. Anna has performed under the baton of conductors such as Kurt Masur and Kristjan Järvi.

Anna has participated in masterclasses and taken lessons with some of Europe’s finest musicians, including Peter Sadlo, Raymond Curfs and Robert Cürlis. After completing her Master of Music in Performance at the University of Music in Würzburg, she undertook further study at the University of Music in Mannheim, where she studied with Dennis Kuhn and Jasmin Kolberg.

Anna is currently based in the south German city of Ulm. In the past year she has taken up teaching positions at the Music Schools in neighbouring cities Herbrechtingen and Herlingen. She has established herself, in the shortest possible time, as a highly sort-after teacher in the region.

Before relocating to Germany, Anna was an active freelancer in Sydney. She taught at a number of schools and directed both high school and primary school percussion ensembles. Anna completed her Bachelor of Music (Performance) with first class honours at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, under the tutelage of Daryl Pratt and Rick Miller.


Robert Oetomo

Indonesian-born Australian percussionist and composer Robert Oetomo (b. 1988) is an active freelancer as a soloist, chamber musician, composer and an educator. He has been invited as special guest artist to perform and present masterclasses in numerous festivals and universities around the world including Ithaca College School of Music in the United States, the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg in Germany, the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in Australia, the 2016 Australian Percussion Gathering, the 1st Qingdao International Percussion Festival 2014 in China and the 9th Tabasco International Marimba Festival 2015 in Mexico. Later in 2018, he will perform as soloist with the Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra in Singapore and be a guest artist at the International Percussion Festival in Mexico City, Mexico.

As a performer, Robert has toured extensively and performed in Europe, America, Asia and Australia with different orchestras and ensembles. Such orchestras and ensembles include the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra, the Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn, Synergy Percussion, Ensemble Impronta, Phoenix Artist Collective, Cameraygal Wind Symphony,Beecroft Symphony Orchestra and the Sydney Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra.

As a composer, Robert passionately advocates the development of percussion music. In 2015 and 2016, he was commissioned by the Australian Marimba Competition to write a compulsory Australian piece (Étude de Paganini and Song and Dance), for which he was also a jury member of the competition panel. This year, his commissioned piece Stars Above will also be the Australian compulsory piece at the 2018 Australian Marimba Competition. His works are published by Edition Svitzer (Denmark) and Tapspace Publications (USA). Robert is an Encore Mallets, Inc. signature artist, Sabian Cymbals endorser and a Marimba One Discovery Artist.
